Belgium secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Türkiye in a UEFA Nations League match held in Liege on Friday. This result marks Türkiye’s third consecutive loss in the tournament, leaving them at the bottom of Group A1 without any points from three matches.
The match saw Kevin De Bruyne take center stage, scoring twice for Belgium. He opened the scoring by combining with Dodi Lukebakio before launching a shot from the edge of the penalty area. Despite Türkiye’s efforts to equalize, De Bruyne extended Belgium’s lead with a precise curling shot into the top corner.
Romelu Lukaku, who entered the game as a substitute in the 61st minute, added the third goal for Belgium. Charles De Ketelaere set up Lukaku with a low cross, which he converted from close range 15 minutes later.
This victory propels Belgium to six points, just one point behind group leaders France. Meanwhile, Türkiye faces a challenging position in the group, with no points after three matches. Their next game is against Italy on October 5, but they will be without Arda Güler and Barış Alper Yılmaz, who are suspended due to yellow card accumulations.
